ISLAMABAD: Barrister Akram Sheikh, special public prosecutor in treason case against former president Pervez Musharraf, has said that the sensitive institutions are threatening his family but he would not give up fighting treason case against Musharraf till his death.

While talking to ‘The New’ Akram Sheikh said that his family was being threatened and he was being conveyed that he should dissociate himself with Musharraf case. He said that he paid respect to the sensitive institutions but they should know that there were also their cases in the courts. He said that he did not afraid of death and would contest Musharraf treason case till death.

Akram Sheik said that he paid great respect to national security institutions but he asked them that they should not interfere in his personal life and he would stick to rules and Constitution.

He said that his commitments could not be changed and he was ready to offer his life as price but would contest the case, come what may.

Akram Sheikh said that the history of this country stood witness that the prosecutors were murdered but despite that he became prosecutor. He said that he would not separate himself from this case till his last breath.

He said that doctors should provide blood sample of Pervez Musharraf and revealed what they had diagnosed in it as the whole nation would know the reality.

He said that every body knew on whose phone call the vehicle of Musharraf had been diverted towards AFIC instead of the court.

He said that the interference of sensitive agencies could not bow him down.

Akram Sheikh said that he had taken up this case on merit not for political gain rather he was contesting this case in national interest and the case of the government of Pakistan.

He said that the time had come to do work by remaining in the ambit of law and Constitution. He said that today (Sunday) he had become 64-year old and as a senior citizen, the strong institutions of the country should not do such kind of things with him.

Akram Sheikh said that he was making struggle for justice in the country so that all the institutions should come in the domain of law and Constitution.

He further said that he had never met Musharraf when he was president and had not met him till today.
