
RAWALPINDI: Describing former president’s health as completely out of danger, senior doctors Tuesday said General (retd) Pervez Musharraf is not suffering from any such health condition that can give rise to concerns.
Expressing their opinion on the medical report issued by the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC) listing nine health conditions the former army chief was going through, the medical experts said best treatment is possible in Pakistan of all these conditions.
Senior doctor Professor Javed Akram told Geo News that according to the report General Musharraf’s health condition cannot be described as critical. “All the ailments the former president is experiencing are treatable in Pakistan,” he added.
According to expert cardio diseases Dr. Shahbaz Qureshi, the decision whether Pervez Musharraf should undergo angioplasty or bypass will depend on the findings of an angiography test.
He said although best healthcare facilities are available in the country for the above, the patient has to make the final decision.
