کامران اکمل نے ایک سپورٹس شو میں گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ اگلا اوور ارشدیپ سنگھ کا ہے اور وہ پاجی ہے ، آپ کو پتا ہے 12 بج گئے ہیں، یہ کہہ کر کامران اکمل ہنس پڑے، ساتھ بیٹھے ایک مہمان نے کہا کہ 12 بجے کے بعد کسی سکھ کو اوور نہیں دینا چاہئے۔

کامران اکمل کی اس ویڈیو پر ہربھجن سنگھ نے سخت ردعمل کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے اپنی ٹویٹ میں لکھا، "لکھ لعنت تیرے تے کامران اکمل، اپنا گندا منہ کھولنے سے پہلے سکھوں کی تاریخ پڑھ لیتا۔ ہم سکھوں نے ہی تمہاری ماؤں اور بہنوں کو بچایا تھا جب انہیں بیرونی حملہ آوروں نے اغوا کرلیا تھا، اور تب بارہ ہی بج رہے تھے۔ شرم کرو تم لوگ۔"۔

جواب میں کامران اکمل نے ہربھجن سنگھ سے معافی مانگتے ہوئے اپنی ٹویٹ میں لکھا

I deeply regret my recent comments and sincerely apologize to Harbhajan Singh and the Sikh community. My words were inappropriate and disrespectful. I have the utmost respect for Sikhs all over the world and never intended to hurt anyone. I am truly sorry.
