Imran Khan Crticizes PM Nawaz Sharif on his Foreign Tours

NOWSHEHRA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Sunday urged Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to stay in Pakistan and deal with the internal challenges being faced by the country.

“Pakistan is burning while Nawaz Sharif (prime minister) is making foreign trips one after another,” he said.

Speaking to media persons after visiting the office of a welfare organization here, Khan said a lobby doesn’t want peace in the country. “There are people in this lobby who are being paid to oppose peace talks in the country” he said.

“One who calls for peace talks is labeled as pro-Taliban by the same lobby,” he stated

The PTI chief said that his party has nothing to do with the Taliban, adding it is only concerned about the country. He reiterated his stance that the killing of Hakimullah Mehsud in a US drone strike was a conspiracy to sabotage peace talks.

He said that the government would carry out registration of widows and orphan children.
